A SCIENCE CAMPSITE

A year ago the physics teacher came to the classroom with an amazing proposition, he proposed us to apply for a science camp. I thought, “Why not?, it can be an unique experience in order to learn while I was having fun with others”, so I decided to try.

I thought that it was very difficult to be accepted at the camp due to the marks they were taking into account, nevertheless I also thought that if I wasn´t be accepted it wouldn´t be the end of the world. 

One day my mum called me saying that I had been accepted at the camp, I was very excited. The problem came later, when I began to think what people could be like there, surely it will be a bit strange and, without knowing anybody I will be there alone. I didn´t know what it was going to happen at Vigo University, where the camp was. A massive amount of guys were expecting to the next arrival, myself. They introduced themselves. It couldn´t be easier to make friends because all people there were lonely, without their friends. The monitors were extremely friendly and they let us do whatever we wanted at night as well as during the day, always thinking reasonably. We slept at the University rooms, so if we wanted to go out at night, it should be silenty, we did it well. during the day we didn´t have time to get bored, there was a project for each group, mine which was an extraction of DNA, it was incredible the precision with we have to work and what we learnt was so much too. But the eight days were not the same, we also went to the beach, to a guided visit in Vigo or to surf. The saddest day was the final one, in which we have to leave. I had made an incredible relationship with some guys that have the same likes as me, so it was really sad. Nowadays, after almost a year, we continue talking each day. Despite the fact that some people live in Madrid, others in Alicante and others in Seville we have already arranged some meetings.

For all these reasons I definitely recommend to live an experience like this, it would be unforgettable, I don´t have any doubt.
